June 2, 2017 - Technical Session: Waste in Today's Hospitals

We're excited to have chapter member, Mr. Mark Wehner, ARM, CHMM with Medxcel Facilities Management (Seton Healthcare) present on Waste Management Challenges in Today’s Hospitals. Mark has been providing waste management services to the Seton Network for the past 27 years and will talk not only about routine waste streams like medical and hazardous but will also speak about some of the more unusual and challenging ones like Ebola, CJD, and radioactive contamination.

Welcome to the Central Texas “Lone Star” Chapter of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals.  Founded in 2009, our chapter has members from a wide variety of backgrounds – from military and university organizations to the healthcare and semiconductor industries. The Lone Star Chapter is proud to provide networking, professional development, and community service opportunities to our members. We hope you’ll consider joining us!

Membership

We welcome anyone with an interest in environmental health and safety, emergency response, hazardous materials handling, or environmental consulting to join today!

You are welcome to join at any meeting of the Lone Star Chapter or by filling out a membership application and paying your annual membership dues of $35. Paid membership allows you to receive continuing education credits from attending Technical Presentation sessions and helps us give back to the community as well as provide fun and exciting social functions.
